About dry ice machine

With a dry ice machine, users can create large amounts of dry ice that can be used for creating fog effects or keeping food and drinks chilled without the use of cubic ice. Dry Ice machines can be categorized into two main types: dry ice makers and dry ice blasters.

Dry Ice Makers

Dry ice pellet makers produce a solid form of carbon dioxide. This is commonly used in applications such as temporary refrigeration, preservation of biological substances, and smoke machines. Dry ice can be made in a variety of shapes and sizes, including pellets, chips, and thin sheets.

Dry Ice Blasting Machines

These dry ice cleaning machines use a pressurized air stream to shoot small pellets of frozen carbon dioxide at a surface in order to clean it while eliminating the need for chemicals. These dry ice blasting machines are water-based, so they are safe for use around food and non-food processing areas like restaurants or warehouses.

How do dry ice machines work?

A dry ice machine uses liquid carbon dioxide to create dry ice. The carbon dioxide gas is pressurized and cooled to form liquid CO2. The liquid carbon dioxide is then injected into either a block press or pelletizer, where it is compressed into blocks or pellets.

How much does a dry ice blasting machine cost?

The price of an industrial dry ice blaster ranges from $7,500 to $20,000. On the other hand, a mini dry ice blaster for producing dry ice frogs can cost as little as $278.

How long will dry ice last in the freezer?

Dry ice should not be kept in a home freezer. Dry ice turns to a gas at –78.5°C. If kept in the freezer, it would sublimate into a gas and expand, which could cause the container to explode or break open.
